That made absolutely no sense because, quite frankly, I could not be an Apple fanboy and post what I said with a serious face. Keep doing what you seem best at doing–resorting emotionally charged irrational statements without taking into account the merits of the comments to which you’re replying. Seriously, the Apple fanboy talking points get old after a while.

I’m a huge Exynos fan, recently replaced my I9100 with a Galaxy Note, and I also own a Tab 8.9 LTE with the same Snapdragon as your Skyrocket.

The resolution is the same on both devices, and the Snapdragon is not *that* far behind the Exynos at stock clocks in real world usage. And the LTE Tab can OC up to 1.94GHz, handily outperforming the Note at stock 1.4GHz.

Of course, the Note can overclock to 1.7GHz, taking the lead again, but I digress. :)

TL;DR: Despite Michael Ma’s hatred, the MSM8660 doesn’t totally suck compared to Exynos, synthetic benchmarks don’t tell the whole story, and the LTE modem support from Qualcomm could be worth a little hit to processing prowess.

Truth is At&t does not have a compatible Exynos processor that can support LTE. That is why the skyrocket has a Qualcomm chip set. The current Exynos processor does not support LTE. The Exynos processor in the original Galaxy Note does support LTE speeds, but not in America. Remember, each carrier works off a different frequency or spectrum. At&T works between 700MHz and 750 MHz. What they do outside of America is something different. So, I hoping that this device will pack at least 1.7GHz Dual core processor. But I have a bad feeling about this. The 1.4 GHz dual core Exynos processors surpass in benchmark scores the 1.2 GHz Dual core Exynos processor, which in turn surpass the 1.5GHZ Qualcomm in benchmark scores on average of 600pts or greater. Something to do with 28nm to 32nm ratio. I want it, BAD! But if they dumb this phone down, I will just wait for the Samsung Galaxy SIII in the fall. Why would you dumb down a phone 1200 points lower than its international counter part and expect it to perform the same? There better be some serious engineering going on if they do.

It’s not just that; the software buttons will at times freeze up for a second or two when an app locks up. Most of the times that happens, the physical home button will still work and you can go back to the home, where everything else works, or get to the task killer and exit the app.

Also, there is no doubt where the buttons are: big physical button is home, to the left is menu, and to the right is back. We don’t need a search button anyway, you can hold the menu button from navigation screens.

I know there will be some who really want this device but i just don’t get it. If your going to be using a stylist wouldn’t you want something bigger? and if you want a phone wouldn’t something smaller be better? Saves you from carrying two devices i guess but the one you’re carrying isn’t suited well for either purpose.

Hi huge Apple Fan. I love Apple products also, but I dislike the Apple OS. Notes from Apple might be slightly true but a lot of the features are down right common sense. You have to look also at the Android OS was being developed in 2005 for sure and most likely before that. Maybe Apple stole they idea from Android Inc and was able to speedy the development because they had more cashflow. No one knows????

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note LTE was dead before arrival when it was revealed it had the same slow dual 1.5ghz Snapdragon processor that exists on my Galaxy SII Skyrocket. I want to throw up every time I see a Snapdragon ad, praising it as some kind of a revolution. Seriously, this processor is just barely holding its own on a 800 x 480 screen on Gingerbread (after all the rooting to get rid of bloatware, and hacks to compensate for video overlay choppiness). You don’t want this processor on any higher resolutions. I think AT&T is going to have a real challenge to make lemonade with a lump of coal known as APQ8060

For the record, I am an iPhone4 owner, because at the time of purchase, it was the best option in my opinion. My next phone won’t be an iPhone, as other better options have emerged, after doing my homework. Yes, I’m not a fan of any brands or companies, but a fan of choice and quality. It’s sad to see some of the iFans so willing to be manipulated by the marketing ploys of the company, and proudly surrender their choice and rationality.

Good one! I prefer my Android phone to the iPhone that I replaced recently. Why? Because of the fact that Apple restricts a lot of applications on their App Store. With all this non-sense that Apple is doing suing Motorola, Samsung, and HTC because of the design is all rubbish. It is like Toyota suing Honda because they took some design cues from the Prius in order to make an equivalent Insight.

Pity to get rid of the one lonely physical home button that is on the front of the foreign version. I actually like the option of waking up the device that way. I find the tiny power switch on the side of Sammy phones a pain to search for. You also have to wonder if they’ll allow Wallet to work, or block it like VZW did on the Galaxy Nexus.
