At&t release their phones on Sundays except the iPhone. The real release date for brick and mortars was the 9th and the online release was the 8th.
/Alot of At&t stores were selling the phone on Saturday.

No Verizon and Sprint are the ones to blame for not getting this. Verizon asked Nokia for a LTE phone and guess what Nokia made a damn LTE phone but they still said no. Sprint is too busy sucking Apple’s crock to even care much about anything else.
/I have a feeling Verizon won’t warm up to WP anytime soon since you can remove their bloat within seconds without having to root your phone. Sprint might get one but will never promote it since they have a 18 billion dollar investment in iPhones

I know CDMA is only really popular in the U.S. and parts of South East Asia but with Nokia making the announcement about how they want to go full-in for the U.S. market it’s rather strange they haven’t made a CDMA version of it.

It looks like Nokia and Microsoft are desperate.
Their “hero” phone goes on sale on Easter Sunday, when most of the stores are closed. You have to ask why choose that date, rather than wait a week?

Here’s the answer. In 3 or 4 weeks the Samsung Galaxy S III will be released, apparently with 4 processor cores (compared to the Nokia Lumia 900′s single core). There will also be a new Android superphone coming from HTC very soon.

Microsoft and Nokia must have decided they’ve got a short window of time before they get demolished by the competition, hence the Easter launch. They may as well get a few weeks of sales before the phone flops.

pre ordered and got mine friday. nice that att fedx’d.

few first impressions that i haven’t seen much discussion of in the reviews: the email client is great. coming from a galaxyS and before that a bb bold this email client is a step forward. cool interface (when deleting an open email, it shrinks and zips away) and nice the way it groups and allows quick deletions. voice mail is also great. viewable list of messages by the number it came from so you don’t have to listen to them all, the old way. sorry if someone else is already doing this, i haven’t seen it. can also just delete the voice mail without calling.

i’m already a zune user and love it on the phone. great service.

tile interface is definitely different but not hard to figure out. it looks fresh. the live stuff, like people tile and pic tile, are neat. makes the phone fun.

unlike the droid i just gave up (which is now a dedicated angry bird player) the 900 hasn’t hung once this weekend, hasn’t turned off for no reason and isn’t using much battery despite lots of activity.
