Performance in hand is more important than specs on a page. WP7 with a single core is just as fast as other OS’s with dual core but has better battery life.

Windows Phone’s dont need the dual core processors because their OS isn’t cluttered with different apps dedicated to individual apps. My WinPho is at least 2x faster than my iPhone4. I picked up a 1 year old Samsung Focus off ebay and it performs better than my i4 ever did. Only thing it’s missing is a wider range of apps to support the OS. That will come will time.

nice looking phone, but awful timing on the release date, and…a single core processor in 2012? It’ll be very dated spec wise right out of the box. Mango looks like a nice OS, though.

just need this to come to the UK now; its fixed my only real reservations about the 800 (screen size and ffc (hopefully they’ve sorted whatever the issues were with the rear camera too)) and still managed to retain what looks quite a pretty phone

So much for Verizon’s “Windows Phone needs LTE before we can support it” lies. Strong rumor suggests that Nokia pitched a CDMA version of this exact phone to Verizon, and they turned it down.

Will be interesting to see if you can expand the memory, or at least get one with up to 64gb of storage.

While I wouldn’t extend a contract for it, this looks like a fun device to have — if WP7 had launched with something like this, it might have been successful. Maybe it’ll help make WP7 show up on a marketshare infographic…
