I have had the worst experience with ATT. Out of the last 6 months, I have had NO service for the last 2 (no bars, no 3G, nothing.) I finally left them last month, paid all balances, and closed my account and they are still harassing me now saying that they want $379 of cancelation fees!!!!!! And I was not even in contract!

I’ve tried to solve this by calling them 3x now. I’ve spent over 10 hours on the phone with these guys – they either say that they are fixing it and it should be done (which is doesn’t cause I get harassed again) or they say that I need to go to the apple store and deal with them, or another excuse. This company is shady and keeps finding a way to harass or falsely charge customers.

Mine lasts all day long. I never turn on WiFi because 4G is so damn fast I don’t need it. 14-18 Mbps all the time.

Just charge my droid Charge before bed and I’m good for the day.

5 years? Last I remembered, the SGX540 is two years old and is much faster than the SGX535 in the iPhone 3GS and 4. The Galaxy Nexus compared to the iPhone 4S is basically, in desktop terms, i7+GTX560(GN) vs i5+GTX580(iP4S)

what a surprise, another butt-hurt Fandroid.

It would also be accurate to say that the GPU rendering JUST made available in ICS (and only on 1 Android phone so far), is 5 YEARS behind the same on iPhone, and is STILL AN INFERIOR solution.

I also live in Chicago, and hated AT&T for the whole 3 years I had them. Data was up and down, dropped calls a lot(still no where near as bad as Sprint), but I found the solution. I dumped my iPhone in June, and have not had one issue since. The biggest problem with AT&T is the iPhone.

My 2g speeds on T-mobile beat sprint on 3g nd I of course have to use my iphone on 2g but I prefer tmo now with sprint being slow its more like 2g for them

T-mobile has hspa+ 21Mbps/42Mbps. At&t has hspa+ 21Mbps only and its not true t-mobile has more covered than At&t thats why T-mobile is the largest 4G Network! At&t has less hspa+ than Tmobile

I live in the very big place of Chicago. Sprint & AT&T have no consistency in this entire area whatsoever. Small city = not enough coverage, Large City = not enough space. No matter how you slice it, it’s slow or no go. What they do not show in this little paid for by AT&T report is upload speeds. Upload is equally, if not more important when speaking of cellular communications. Verizon FTW! …come plan?

This article would be like a travel agency selling trips to Europe and claiming, after extensive testing we’ve found taking a plane would be much faster than taking a boat! One iphone is on 4g, one iphone is on 3g, you don’t need to write an article to determine which is faster.

I am very pleased with AT&T… Even when we were barely getting any service while they were working on building our 3G towers I was fine.. I don’t understand some people complaining and finding fault all the time. There’s not a phone company around that never has any problems…. So u rock ATT!!

About 45 miles out of charlotte nc in a small town getting 4-6 meg download and 2-4 upload speed thanks AT&T!! That’s faster than the fastest dsl you have!

I bet if Tmobile’s HSPA+ was included in those test…it would’ve emerged at the top. The way i see it pressure from a Network or two were the reason why Tmo didn’t get the iPhone. I am sure if they did get it… their fast HSPA+ speeds coupled with their low cellular rates would’ve been a major draw to siphon customers from Att, Sprint ,Verizon and even some of the smaller carriers. There was some evil hand at work to see to Magenta’s demise or keep them from an opportunity to capturing more customers

I switched from AT&T to Sprint because in my area AT&T does not have 3G. And even worse their edge network is so slow 300 baud sounds fast. Sprint may not be as fast as AT&T in bigger cities but sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile have them beat here.

AT&T rolled out HSPA+ because the back haul required is same as LTE (ethinet to the site). HSPA+ is just a software update. Where fastest network is concerned AT&T has always had the fastest network outside of LTE.
The article is comparing iPhone on different carriers and being a phone that is identical and was just introduced to additional carriers this is a just comparison. When Apple decide that LTE battery life and radio is of a standard to good enough for their product then you guys can start telling each other whose mama has LTE but until then the topic of this so loved device will be left to what we have.

I’m afraid you’ll have to keep waiting. Actually heard Sprint has been getting alot of iPhone returns because of it’s slow 3G speeds.
