RIM's BlackBerry Bold 9800 slider looks to be going head to head with the fourth-generation iPhone HD this coming June, with BGR hearing from several of their sources at the company that AT&T are ramping up for a release of the touchscreen QWERTY handset in the same month as Apple's next phone is expected to arrive. In fact, they're sounding pretty gung-ho about the launch; AT&T have apparently ordered more than 1,000,000 units.
The carrier will have the smartphone as an exclusive for an unknown period of time, likely either three to six months, but it will apparently arrive on Sprint in CDMA form in Q4 2010. Expect the Bold 9800 slider to drop mid- to late-way through June, bringing with it BlackBerry OS 6. The handset was spotted in the wild earlier this month.
