Have had since October the Elevate 4G hotspot. I am on the third unit. Failure modes have been failure to charge or recognize the battery, continualy connecting and rebooting (first unit), and continually connecting and disconnecting and rebooting (second unit). Same battery, as they did not supply a replacement battery when the first failed. Second time they replaced the entire unit, including battery and charger (charger was different with a USB connector to the AC converter rather than hard wired). Support very helpful but couldn't solve the problem. Warrenty pushed back hard on the second one. Told couldn't supply a battery, not in stock, didn't want to send the second unit because the "first one didn't work". Speed is spectacular in comparison to Wildblue, and cheaper. Have yet to use 5 gB, but don't stream video.

I'm curious if At&t or Verizon have ever heard of streaming media. 5gb a month is not enough when families are now canceling cable for streaming services. They could easily take over cable and dsl internet by just offering unlimited plans.
