Biometric scanners have slowly creeped their way into many new tech products like USB flash drives and laptops. It’s not all that surprising to hear that someone has created a device that will protect your car with a fingerprint reader.
The ATRD M10 makes it so that the car won’t start without your magic touch. You’ll put your key in the ignition and turn it, but it won’t fire until your fingerprint has been authenticated.
You can disable this feature if you’re loaning the car to someone or taking it in for repairs, so you don’t always need to be there. No word on pricing or availability.
