ATI gets official with HD 5770 and HD 5750 video cards

ATI has gone official with its new line of HD 5770 and 5750 video cards today. We already know just about all there is to know about the cards thanks to a leaked specifications and benchmark results last week. The leaked information got the specifications for the cards right.

ATI says that the HD 5770 has a core clock of 850MHz and a memory clock of 1.2GHz. The 5770 uses GDDR5 RAM and has 1.04 billion 40nm transistors. The card also features 800 stream processors, 40 texture units, 64 Z/Stencil ROP units, and 16 color ROP units.

The HD 5750 has a core clock of 700MHz and the memory is clocked at 1.15GHz. The memory data rate is 4.6 Gbps and it has 720 stream processors. Other features include 36 texture units, 64 Z/Stencil units, and 16 color ROP units. The card also uses GDDR5 RAM. Both cards will sell for well under $200 according to ATI.
