ASUS ZenPad Z8 goes up for preorder at Verizon

The ASUS ZenPad Z8 has gone up for preorder at Verizon, and it'll start shipping out to buyers on June 23. The slate features a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 IPS display and a bunch of notable features, particularly its 13-hour run time and 23-day standby time. The tablet is priced at $249.99, but Verizon is offering it with both a monthly payment plan and at $149.99 USD with a traditional two-year contract.

If you choose to get the tablet through Verizon's payment plan, it'll run you $10.41/month for 24 months. The tablet can only be preordered through Verizon's website; it isn't clear whether it will be available in stores once it starts shipping.

As far as the tablet itself goes, it's a nifty little offering with a comfortably sized display and overall dimensions of 8.08 x 5.37 inches. The tablet includes VisualMaster picture enhancement tech and a 178-degree viewing angle.

Joining the display are a pair of front-facing speakers with ASUS's SonicMaster audio. Under the hood lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-Core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16G of storage. There's also a microSD card expansion slot that supports up to 128GB. The tablet also features 4G LTE support, a pre-installed SIM card, and a non-removable 4680mAh battery.
