Asus VivoTab Note 8 Windows 8.1 tablet gets official at CES 2014

A few days ago, a user manual for the Asus VivoTab Note 8 turned up online confirming that the tablet was coming. This week saw the tablet official launch of the VivoTab Note 8 at CES 2014. As we knew from the leaks and rumors about the tablet, it is running Windows 8.1 and has a professional Wacom Digitizer Stylus.

That makes the tablet pen-based allowing for improved productivity and creativity. Asus says that the tablet is designed for students and professionals. It ships with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote installed. The tablet is easy to take with you on the go at 380g.

The 8-inch screen makes the tablet easy to handle with one hand while you use the stylus with the other. The 8-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and the screen uses IPS tech. The tablet uses an Intel Atom Z3740 processor.

Other hardware features include 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB cards. The VivoTab Note 8 has a 5MP rear camera and a HD resolution front camera. The battery is rated for 15.5Wh and the tablet measures 220.9 x 133.8 x 10.95mm. Pricing and availability weren't announced at the show.
