Yeah it says you don't know wtf you are talking about. Internet truth maybe? A dual core vs quad core is meaningless on the face of it. The speeds are also irrelevant if the software isn't developed to use it. I'm just fking sick and tired of Apple paid shills coming on every single board to discredit anything that isnt Apple by spouting complete BS that is suedo science but sounds believable.

More like Apple has been playing catch up for the past two years. After the first Android 2.1 phones started releasing the iPhone 4 was outdated. Then the iPhone 4S had to play catch up to be able to make it to the level of phones like the Galaxy S II and the Droid Bionic. Now Apple needs to play catch up again as they are being left in the dust with their subpar displays and their aging processors. Apple's tablets have been playing catch up since the Tegra 2 Android tablets released. Not to mention after reading some of your comments you clearly have no knowledge about graphics cards as you said ATI was beating Nvidia. That's funny because it's AMD now not ATI and ATI has been playing catch up for years just like how AMD and Apple have been trying to keep up with Intel and and all the Android device makers. Maybe it's time for you to start playing catch up just like your precious Apple.

My favorite thing about my Android device, it that I have to pay more for the same App on the iPad. Lucky for me, I've hacked it and now I download everything free, thank to hackers. Long like hacking and free programs. Thanks Google for openSource Android, though I'm still waiting for HoneyComb source so I can hack my other tablet. My favorite hack so far is removing all advertising. Nothing but content!

I was pointing out that this guy was saying that the iPad 2 and the Transformer Prime played these games about the same, but if you actually compared the iPad 2's experience with any Android with a Tegra 2, they would be much more comparable. You've got to either be blind or really naive to say that the games are playing the same for both devices. The load-time is close, but the Tegra 3's version is much more graphically intensive. I guess you're right, though, this is like comparing an older Xbox version to the newer Xbox 360 version (which is the original comparison I made).

One of the major focuses for apple is "write to hardware" in the sence they have a "platform" that doesn't change so that devs can write specifically to their hardware and make the best use of its capabilities. That said an apple version of specific software should be optimized much more for its hardware and would be more efficient. Here that is not the case for one of two reasons, either the shaders on the tegra are much more capable of newer effects (similar to the difference between dx9 and 11 per se) or the game devs in BOTH games tested above, decided to focus on providing newer effects and much better normal mapped textures. Considering the money is usually in the IPAD version, I would err to say the IPAD 2 simply wasn't capable of these effects as it should be more efficient than the version written for a multi platform OS. That said NVIDIA could very well have added some additional effects that their hardware is capable of and apples isn't, and a test between non NVIDIA sanctioned games would be good to see, but I really doubt apples gpu has the mature shader model that an nvidia or ati gpu could muster. Android is the one with the disadvantage here, as we are not seeing this on ice cream sandwich, and it is not likely utilizing the hardware efficiently yet, but it still outshines the apple.

Until i see a solid proof of this optimization, i wouldn't believe any of these logo plastered games to be optimized for a single platform. What most of these games refer to as optimized for nvidia is basically utilizing one line of code specific to nvidia texture compression vs three lines of code for standard openGL which does the exact same. Look at chainfire3d. It sits there as an intermediate driver translating those "hardware specific" code into standard openGL and adding further optimization
