Asus has not maintened promissed, gps and wi-fi is a harware problem and cannot be fixed with up dated, asus should change back cover replacing metal with plastic, is the only way to fix gps and wi-fi connectivity. my one returned after 24 hrs. badway carphone ware house has told me that this week 70 asus prime has been returned. COME ON ASUS, do your job and replace defective back case to fix wrong position of GPS and WI-FI sensor. Prime still remain 2 times better then apple i-pad 2, but not enough to call prime the best in the market. Another things why i cannot copy cut and paste word note or email sentence, this option working very bad and very annoying as well.

Class action suit – I was told the camera was 8 meg then in
the book it said 6meg ????, wyi fyi is poor to none at 25 feet, GPS without wyi
fyi is none, says searching all the time, this was a critical decision
in my purchase, I am a NYS Officer, this product is none functional for my
application, a recall, return credit, upgrade, or suite is the only answer.

I just Got a TF201 with ICS and found that the following functions are not possible.

1. Google Voice does not dial so I cant make calls from the tablet
2. My Fios Remote does not work because the APP needs to see a phone attached to the account
3. WiFi range shows half range when in direct proximity to the WiFi Routers
4. GPS is not Locking from inside a large window which my phones do.

Otherwise it promises to be the perfect tablet and nothing would get close.

If anyone has the links and or fixes for these problems please post.
Thank you in advance to all help you may provide.

@Arthur & @maritini. Yup, i felt the same way. But here's why i have 2 primes. i preordered mine since mid November and got it on Jan. 3rd. Between the time i ordered it up to when i received it, i started getting mixed feelings about it due to a mix of feedback/reviews. but i didnt give in to the negative reviews because I had possitive xperiences with Asus products in the past.

Then it arrived. It looked and felt terrific, nicer than what I expected for thinness and quality feel. However, I did a quick setup and update and started running tests on it to make sure mine did not have bad Wifi. WIFI quality was the deal breaker for me. This was on Honeycomb and I found the wifi was comparable to my Ipad2 for range and speed. So i was happy. GPS however, would not work for Navigation at all. Zero satellite lock. But i chose to keep it because I was not planning to use it for Navigation. My justification; I have 2X the product for less than what I paid for my Ipad2. That said, I ordered a 2nd prime 2days later for work and sold my ipad 2. I got the 2nd prime yesterday and its now champagne in color, very nice. I actually like the lighter color better.

Here's the beautiful part. Both Primes are now on ICS (no root on both) and I did the GPS update last night. What did I find? I now have in my hands 2 blazing fast, awesome looking, top of the line tablets with much improved WIFi (yes, now really beyond my expectations). As for the GPS, THEY BOTH WORK!!!! Now. Min. 10 satellites in view on each. Its like a magic update. I tested the GPS inside and on the road to/from work today and they work like a dream.

My conclusion, i dont expect everyone else to have the same possitive experiences like mine. Theres so many components to this hardware, and so many more was things can go wrong. For me, everything turned out fantstic and my loyalty with Asus was not tested at all. If you're looking for a guarantee on this hardware, you can always wait for the new version coming later this summer/fall. But please, please, Please, do not get an Ipad. Nuff said..Time for Prime!!!

I'm looking at the TF201 as an option for my first tab but unsure... is it actually better than other android tablets out there? Lots of good reviews but would rather hear from people who've actually owned one for a while
