Can you use either of the tegra 3 asus tablets for video editing , are there any apps that support this ?
It is the one reason I’m hestiant to get one of these instead of an ultraportable

Okay, yes. I think I can relate, and believe me that I don’t spend all day wiping grime off my mobile devices’ screens either. Just wanted to give some feedback in the sense that I find it mildly off-putting if otherwise lust-worthy (did i just say that? I think I did) devices are pictured in a less than pristine way.

Actually though, on the other hand it’s probably nice to see the reviewed devices in a bit of a “lived in” state because, honestly, how often will we see tablets or slate smartphones all spotless and shiny? ;)

There’s no discount for buying the tablet and the keyboard together, so $379 for the 16GB tablet, $399 for the 32GB model, and $149 for the keyboard dock.

Until Samsung releases their Exynos quad-core processor for tablets, the ASUS line here with NVIDIA Tegra 3s in them will be the best. Once that Exynos is out, we’ll see. For now yes, the Prime (and I’d even say the TF300 here) are better than the Galaxy Tab lineup across the board.

ASUS hasn’t yet revealed officially, but expect them to be in big name electronics stores like Best Buy and Frys – the original Transformer was also in Target. I’m sure we’ll know more soon.

Do you own a tablet? I actually wipe down the screen in-between nearly every shot, but I always seem to find a way to end up catching the light on the spots I’ve missed.

It’s definitely not just the perfectionist in you – I’m striving to get more ‘perfect’ as well.

Good review Chris. I just wanted to point out that the “mic holes” on the left side of the tablets below the microSD card slots are actually used to access the reset buttons. The microphone is located on the top edge of the TF201 where I assume it is also on the TF300.

It seems the biggest reason for the TF Prime is the keyboard dock but that’s sold seperately. How much is the cost with the keyboard included?

Think I am going to hold out for the infinity, to see if the wifi is better and flash is built in. I hate tht i cant play simple games like pogo spades on it, but gamers can get way into theres. Anyone know release date for infinity? And I heard the new galaxy is released today as well, so im wondering is the prime hands down, even better than the new galaxy?

Completely unrelated to the reviewed (and IMO pretty awesome) tablet…
it really kinda annoys me when the devices didn’t get a least a decent wipe-down for product shots. You know, finger prints and smudges all over the screen and such. Just looks ever so much sloppy.

That may just be the perfectionist in me speaking but that is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.
