A company that simply don’t deliver to supply the demand and preorders is simply crap. Amazon said it will only ship in the beginning of February an order placed on November 22nd. This is absurd. Will cancel the order and wait for the new Samsung or Ipad 3 in March. Asus lost my business with this lousy attitude towards customers.

I don’t know what to believe either Futureshop in Canada sent out emails giving credit to those who preordered b/c they didnt reach their original ship date on the tablet and keyboard dock. I contacted their customer service and they told me their pre-orders are still scheduled to ship December 22nd, 2011. Which typically changes to TBA if there was an unexpected delay, so who really knows at this point. It’s a Christmas gift so I will be quite pissed if I dont at least received it a few days after Christmas.

I pre-ordered the Prime on Amazon the day that it came out. I changed my shipping today to 2-day shipping and my shipping date change from unknown to January 25th! When I called Amazon, they told me that Asus had informed them that the prime was had some kind of issue and that it was going to be delayed. Hopefully amazon is just feeding me a line, and I can find it somewhere else… but this was not how I wanted to start my morning :(

It appears that Gamestop will be the only seller that may have the product in retail stores before year end. And most of those Gamestop have all of those accounted for by in-store pre-orders. If you did not pre-order weeks ago and received a firm confirmation from your etailer, you will not be getting a Transformer Prime in 2011. It’s probably better to wait until they fix those rumored wifi problems anyway.

For some crazy reason my mother-in-law decided she wanted to buy me an i-Pad to use with my son (wasn’t complaining). I convinced her that this would be a better product and we’ll be getting one as soon as they are released. Merry Christmas to me…oh yeah, and to my son.

Go to gamestop’s website..click on tablets..type in your zipcode & it will show you stores near you that are selling them.

I think external hard drive was referring to the keyboard add-on that you can buy with it to make it into sort of a laptop. Its a pretty slick looking device. I think Asus needs to do a better job marketing it though because not many people know about it. I may get one once it automatically comes with ICS.

:-) This is great news. I’m hoping Asus produces enough to be able to refresh at retail pretty quickly too… for those of us that didn’t get to pre-order early enough.
