I have also noticed ghosting on our hdtv screen with using o!play hd2, we have it going thought the hdmi connect from the speaker system 5.1 type system, the menu ghost on the screen more than the videos do. I notice it like at night time more than daytime. it's easy to get ride of the ghosting by running one of thought options in the tv menu for reghosting the tv screen, the blu ray player also seems to ghost the plasma hdtv screen too for us at least.

what about xdvd standard of tmpenc, or some mkv, with ac3 audio, using type of tmpenc encoder
I have 2.02 version firmware, the usb drive does detect a few times, I also been exprencing problem with it when shutting it down when it fails to detect usb drive, blu ray encoding with multiavchd say you try its menu system it fails to be able to use free menu system , or the same for multiavchd program outputing to dvd but I don't think that supports standard dvd menus, too bad we can't use mpeg4 main audio codec from tmpenc the o!play hd2 fails to play that audio type. it likes the other codec thou, ever since upgrading the firmware for me at least the device has been very unstable to use, it plays videos, but transforing them with usb is like broken with current firmware version they just release, I tryed to use ntfs with usb drive, fat32 with usb drive , the drive is 4GB in size, it's one of thou's small portable drives. made by memorex I think, it would be cool if I could use dvd menu's with mpeg4 video , and ac3 audio but I don't think the o!play hd2 supports such a standard, and 4GB per file would be too big for normal use of show, I been trying to get videos under 1GB each but, I have not tryed the linux encoders , yet does anyone know how well they work for o!play hd2, I also don't like the interface color, I would of prefer it to be blue or green color, but it's more important to be stable at least.

If stable, looks like a winner. RMVB is huge for me. wireless no big deal, wireless networks can't smoothly play a HiDef movie w/o spurting, consistently. Better off w/ a wired Cat5. Like the internal HD feature. Plan to buy a couple of these and give them away for Xmas. Wish ASUS produced a player with a DVD/BluRay player.

No EXT4 support either which is now the default file system for Ubuntu and has been for over a year.

No wireless either.

Without these three features, including DTS HD, I pass once again. Sticking with XboX 360 for now.
