I’m buying one, no questions asked. My B&N Nook Color running CM7.1 was an awesome buy for $250. I’ll be selling it for $100 and spend another $100 to upgrade to the ASUS/Google 7″ tab.

i’d like to see cell phone’s put back in tablets. my wife’s got a viewpad7 and loves it. It’s just too darn slow. A new Asus made 7″ with modern specs would be nice.

This may well set the tablet world on its head, if it is done correctly… 7 inches is the sweet spot, and so is $200. Look at all the business RIM has done on its Playbooks since it dropped the price. People want a portable product at affordable prices.

It’s not too late for a tablet that costs one half the price of it iPad – not everyone has $500 to spend on a tablet, but more people have $200.

So what? Another less than stellar tablet running the same old Android software. I’ll give credit to Apple and Microsoft for at least advancing technology. We have enough crappy tablets and one with Google’s name on it doesn’t excite me to want to buy it.

I’m sure it will be under-powered, over-sexed and not update-able. I have an HTC Android phone that doesn’t work that well. I have a Viewsonic 10″ G tablet with more Android software. None of it is really all that good. Why buy another brick?

Give me something that runs a full Linux stack and lots of options and usefulness. No more dumbed down systems that someone else thinks is cool. There are just too many dunder-heads out there.

If they put a USB port into it then there will not be any competition. I doubt they will though and it will just be yet another also ran…

May is way too late when Ipad3′s sell at March16 which is definitely a better tablet as of now in terms of applicaitons and ecosystem, Asus has a pretty bad track record in quality control if the TF201 is of any indication. Still the best luck to Asus.. just waiting for the 11.6
