Production delays, doubts over functionality and the potential for limited supplies even when it reaches shelves: for a netbook, the touchscreen convertible ASUS Eee PC T91 has sure had some issues.  Happily the first models seem to be filtering out now, with jkkmobile taking delivery today and shooting an unboxing and first-impressions video.

The T91 has an 8.9-inch resistive touchscreen display, Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.  As you can see from our launch review roundup, ASUS’ home-grown finger friendly UI gets credit for making the whole thing more usable, but Windows XP Home is still lurking under there and holding things back.

Still, there are still plenty of people out there who would love a compact, ultraportable netbook with touchscreen functionality, and the Eee PC T91 slots into a niche category with limited competition.  We’re hoping it sells well if only so that ASUS green-light the Eee PC T101, the 10.1-inch bigger-brother of the T91 tipped to drop in September.
