Are you one of those weirdos that gets off on seeing gadgets in various states of undress? Don’t worry I won’t judge, in fact,  here’s a little something to feed your habit. Someone has already taken one of the new Asus Eee PCs and stripped it down to bare silicon.

I can’t really blame the guy for tearing it apart the minute he got it, I’ve been known to dissect a gadget or two in my day just to see what made it tick. It’s when you start tearing apart people to see what makes them tick that you get labeled a real sicko. (Though you do get to be a pretty cool villain in Heroes)

Anyway, there are a lot more pics here. If you have sensitive eyes and get freaked out by naked electronics, you may want to think twice before clicking that link.

This guy can’t just write about a cool-sounding new machine: he has to project a brutalized woman onto it and invite his readers to be fellow sadists toward it/her — unmistakably telling female readers they are neither expected nor welcome.

This female reader will be avoiding the “slashgear” site in future to preserve her digestion and blood pressure. There are presumably others like me. Probably when the editors of this site run a demographics check, they’ll find a majority of male readers. Then they’ll conclude that women aren’t interested in electronics. They’ll probably profess mystification and wonder if it would help to make computers pink or fuzzy.

Get this through your heads, bozos: women spend money and attention where they are treated like human beings. Misogyny will lose you money.

Personally I find it slightly sexist that a woman assumed that it had to be a woman in a state of undress. None of the references here are directed at women, if anything it more refers to classic horror or comic book style references. As a female geek and writer I find statements assuming this article is all about the ladies to be highly sexist and extremely closed minded. Frankly if a woman had written the same things would you be so quick to judge? For all you know the writer could be gay and speaking of men (in which case he is not). Would it have been a problem if a gay man wrote it up? Next time let us women speak for ourselves, I don’t need you to tell me what I think, thanks anyway though.

Oh baby. That’s a hot one. Could you post some bigger pics so I can see her solder joints? I’ve got a peripheral or two for those hot usb ports…

Looks awesome, getting one soon! The woman above should get over it and go buy a laptop.
