It’s got a solid state HD (was hoping it was a CF card but no dice, they dismantled it and it’s actually 4 1g flash ICs soldered to the motherboard), it’s running a Linux based OS (so no hardware compatibility issues), and most important of all, it’s one of the smallest laptops I’ve ever seen (for less than 2k, Sony makes some Vaios that are comparable but they start at 2.5k).

So what if the hardware specs are a little skimpy, I’m only going to be using it for web browsing, a little on the go e-mail, and possibly some minor dev work (very minor).
