ASUS Eee PC 900A in new gold and dark-blue colors

ASUS have taken a break from producing interminable new Eee models to instead concentrate on a few new versions of existing netbooks.  No significant changes here, just the introduction of gold and blue casing options for the Eee PC 900A, the 8.9-inch Atom-powered version of the original 900-series.

Hardware looks to be unchanged, so these new tweaks are really just to convince anyone who thought they might want an Eee netbook but wasn't especially impressed with the existing color palette.  So that means, aside from the 1.6GHz Atom CPU, you'll have 1GB of RAM and a choice of 8GB or 16GB SSD storage.  Ports include three USB 2.0 and one VGA; there's also a 0.3-megapixel webcam.

It's difficult to get too excited, frankly.  Price for the new color variants has not been announced, but the 900A cost around €299 ($465) when it launched back in August.
