ASUS Eee PC 1201HA gets $330 Best Buy price

If you'd told us a month or two ago that ASUS' Eee PC 1201HA would be arriving at Best Buy priced at $329.99, you might have prompted a few oohs and aahs.  Unfortunately, with the company's NVIDIA Ion and AMD Congo models (the 1201N and 1201T, respectively) on the scene, the standard Atom Z520/GMA950 version seems more than a little backward.

Your $330 gets you a 1.33GHz processor that, from earlier benchmarking on rival machines, we know to be a pretty sluggish chip when slotted into a netbook.  There's also 1GB of RAM (expandable to 2GB) and a measly 160GB of storage; WiFi b/g/n is standard, but not Bluetooth, and there are the usual three USB 2.0 ports, multiformat memory card reader and audio in/out.

In fact, the only real saving grace for the 1201HA is the estimated 6 hours 38 minutes battery life, though even that isn't madly unique for an ultrathin these days.  It seems this is a Best Buy Cyber Monday sale, which means you're potentially saving a few bucks over the regular 1201HA price, but we'd be tempted to save up the extra and plump for the Ion or Congo versions when they arrive.
