ASUS Eee PC 1008HA gets FCC breakdown treatment

Back when the ASUS Eee PC 1008HA cleared the FCC in early April, what we didn't know was that the company's confidentiality agreement had hidden away the usual array of external and internal photos.  That agreement is obviously up, however, as a flock of breakdown shots together with the "Seashell" netbook's user manual have appeared on the FCC site.

As you might expect, given the Eee PC 1008HA's dimensions, there's not much surplus room inside.  Upgrade options are going to be limited, obviously, though you could swap out the storage and the Mini PCI WLAN card, and maybe squeeze in a WWAN antenna up in the top right-hand side of the display bezel.

Those who were disappointed by the MSI X-Slim X340 breakdown will be pleased to see that there's a whole lot less sticky-tape inside the ASUS.  The ASUS Eee PC 1008HA went on sale yesterday in the US, priced at $429.
