Official images and full specifications of the upcoming ASUS Eee PC 1005P Pine Trail netbook have emerged, after details of the netbook – and its 1005PE sibling – leaked yesterday.  Appearance-wise, ASUS have stuck to their Seashell theme, so it seems the main changes are inside with the Atom N450 1.66GHz processor.

As we knew from yesterday, the 1005P and 1005PE have a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM GMA 3150 graphics and 160GB or 250GB of storage respectively.  There’s also WiFi b/g (no ‘n’ though) and a 6-cell Li-Ion battery in both machines; however, the 1005PE’s battery is tipped to be larger than that of the 1005P, making it good for up to 12 hours runtime.

It’s unclear what sort of battery life we can expect from the 1005P, however.  The ASUS Eee PC 1005P is currently listing on UK site LambdaTek for £242.95 tax included ($395), while the ASUS Eee PC 1005PE is listed at the same site for £270.34 ($439).
