ASUS’ Eee PC 1002HAE only launched in Japan a few days ago, but already the Portable Monkey team have managed to sneak one away and flaunt it video. The 1002HAE takes the existing 1002HA and redresses it in a lighter casing and with a fashionable chiclet keyboard.

There’s also Intel’s N280 1.66GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive. The aluminum casing takes the whole thing down from the 1002HA’s 1.45kg to just 1.2kg.
First impressions are that very little has changed. Packaging and included accessories as the same as with the 1002HA (and the S101H for that matter), and though there should be a speed bump with the new CPU it’s only going to be a very mild one.
