Dude, Asus is a company originated in the USA. They moved to China, but if you want history on their hardware and reliability, then ask those who have the Asus products, i.e. me, who can tell you that their technology far exceeds that of the average motherboards, CPU’s, Graphics Cards, and in reality, a lot of Asus Motherboards are in a lot ot the top big name computers because of their resistance to heat and also for their computing speed capabilities. I will tell you for sure that I will never look or even have the desire to purchase and Apple, IBM, or HP, Sony, or Toshiba.

Lol, like anyone is stupid enough to buy a tablet from some unknown company in Mexico, let alone send 10,600 Mexican dollars to a Mexican website.

Even if this was the real deal, the specs are not that good for the price. And even if the specs are good, doesn’t mean the quality isn’t crap.

Just herd on the news this morning that iPad sales are down due to the ever increasing Android tablets in the market, i.e., the Asus Eee Pad Transformer selling out where ever thy release the tab. I think if the Moto Xoom would have been priced below the iPad or similar to the Asus Eee Pad then the results would have been more dramatic for Apple. You iFans said that the Android mobile phones would never out sell the iPhone and now we stand with Android being on TOP. All in all, history will repeat itself with Android tabs.

Honeycomb fails, all of these tabs will end up becoming the next Woot.com item for 1/2 off.

In the 1st week of iPad there were atleast 60 native apps and hundreds in just 2 months. Now in the 2nd months of Xoom, we only see less than 40 native apps and they all suck.

Funny that when Apple fanboys compare prices, they never mention what the competition has that the iPad doesn’t.
It’s the same price as the iPad and it has, microSd card reader, GPS, HDMI, do i need to keep going?

2x USB 2.0
MicroSD Card

and an optional keyboard which turns it into a laptop

All of these make it more worthy of my money

Did everybody notice at best buy website they said the cpu is NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor Features a 667MHz system bus and 1MB L2 cache.
Is it 1GHz or 667MHz ? can anybody confirm this ?

IPad 2 is ~ 30% thinner and ~ 2.5 ounces lighter than the Transformer (Tablet only).

Best Buy’s specs are confusing – it looks like they include the keyboard in the measurements.

For $100 bucks less + equivalent hardware (maybe better?) + android honeycomb, I don’t think I’m gonna cry too much because my tablet has a bit more beef and isn’t quite as sexy. Definitely thinking about picking one up. I’m glad my attempt to get an IPad 2 a couple days ago failed, I read more and decided to hang on until this releases because after playing with the Xoom and IPad 2 at stores and after reading reviews, I definitely want Honycomb. IOS felt like a big IPod touch, I want a tablet that is geared towards productivity. While IPad apps have stepped in to fill in and work around the IOS void, I much prefer how Android behaves as an operating system.

So hopefully this dark horse of a tablet turns out to be a good one. The reports will start rolling in from the UK come April 6th, we’ll see.

With the added thickness comes more weight (680g) and the Transformer will prove to be more of a burden to be held for extended periods of time, when compared to he iPad 2 (601g).
