Arrested Development will be back with 17 new episodes

Arrested Development is the series that will not die, and we're all happier for it. The series was resurrected by Netflix due to fan demand back in early summer 2013, and now series Executive Producer Brian Grazer has confirmed that it'll be back yet again — this time with 17 additional episodes. Netflix hasn't commented on the news and it wasn't stated whether the episodes will be premiering on Netflix. The news was provided in an interview during SXSW last month.

Though SXSW took place last month, the interview — which Brian Grazer did with "B.S. Report" — has only just now made its way to light. You can watch it in its entirety for yourself in the video below.

It's a long interview, but the relevant parts are thus: there will be more Arrested Development in the future, with 17 episodes being in the pipeline. "I love Arrested Development, but it was never a huge thing," said Grazer. "But people are loyal to it. We're going to do another 17 episodes, so stay tuned" for them.

Netflix has not commented on the statements; it was responsible for bringing the series back, however, with 15 new episodes that composed Season Four in May 2013. It looks likely, then, that Netflix will be the home of Season Five and its many episodes.
