It’s a shame with so many of these ARM or MIPS-based netbooks around, we only get to see WinCE on them. Linux will lend them much more oomph.

That netbook was first released 2 years ago. Of course it’s outdated technology. The only news is that it’s being offered at half it’s original price from 2 years ago. Archos has a new 10 netbook (http://www.archos.com/store/psearch.html?country=gb&lang=en&prod_id=archos10) but who cares. That’s going to be eclipsed by their 10″ android tablet…that’s what the world is waiting for.

Older ARM processors just don’t have the power to provide acceptable speed for a smartbook/netbook.

Also, a minimum of 512Mb of medium speed RAM is absolutely necessary.
