Most logical would be an Iphone 4g and then they release 4gs. AS 4g is the new standard it would be dumb to release iphone 5. If they release new number evey year or one and half number goes up pretty quick. Also they had 3g and 3gs so that would be the most logcial move but we never know.

I’ve always skipped the “s” it’s just a minor upgrade this way every 2 years I have an upgrade and a phone that’s worth upgrading to. This year however AT&T gave me a full upgrade 1 year into a 2 year on my IPhone 4 so since January 5th I’ve been elidgable but I was not going to get the 4S and be stuck in contract when the new IPhone comes out. And just saying it will not be called the IPhone 5 it will be the new IPhone like they did with the IPad or IPhone 4G cause this will be the 6th IPhone really.

Einstein, I really don’t think anyone has heard of a 3 year upgrade. After 10 years of owning cell phones on two major carriers, I’ve only seen the two year. Even if there is a 3, it affects such a low percentage of us it doesn’t matter. Still, as I said, it would be around August that a new phone would come out. Nothing new here. Any other bright insights?

This is why I wait a little while until a new iPhone comes out. A little after the 4Gs came out there were talks of an iPhone 5…forget the 4Gs, I will wait a little longer to renew my 2 year contract, sell my 3Gs and pay little to nothing for the new 5. Plus I get a nice discount from my job thru AT&T.

I’ve been able to resell my iPhone since the 3G in order to pay for in most cases 95% of the next model. This is because apple products hold their value better than any other phone manufacturers products do

3 year upgrade cycle? iPhone’s have typically come out every summer. Not to mention a June announcement would more than likely mean an August release. Nothing new here.
