imo almost every tablet lives up to/exceeds the iPad. Also, price/performance means the $ amount you pay per calculations it can do, not how it handles notifications.

Of course, if you had any brains to begin with, you’d know that already. C’est la vie.

The ads are featuring what a “genius” can do for you. No task too large or small, they can and will be at your beck and call with informed answers and help. They know the hardware, software, and OS.

It’s not a club, it’s a fucking computer. These ads feature apples service side. (which, anyone who isn’t lying to themselves knows is leaps and bounds better than any if the competition.)

What works for you works for you. What doesn’t work for you may work for someone else. If someone’s using an inferior product, that’s their problem they need to deal with on their own.

It reminds me of a quote I heard once- “religion is like having a penis. it’s great to have one, it’s great to show it off, it’s great to be proud of. but keep it to yourself and don’t try to cram it down mine or my kids’ throats.”

Same rules apply. An article, albeit a poorly-constructed one, written to highlight the negatively received batch of Apple’s latest advertisements, and you ass hats want to turn it into Holy Wars 2.0. Stay on topic, or get off the page.

Honestly, when I first saw these ads, I thought I was looking at more of those “I’m a PC” windows ads. Because that’s what I think of when I think about windows users: clueless, panicky and outright idiotic.

Apple users are intelligent, savvy, and capable people. We choose Apple products because we prefer products that help us be productive and successful without getting in the way (like windows with its infinite notifications and patches).
The Mac vs. PC ads were perfect. They highlighted all the strengths of Apple products: ease of use, power, price/performance, and support. These are things that discriminating consumers look for in technology. These are things you can’t find in the windows world.
