"it gives Apple the chance to bulldoze its name into headlines during one of the biggest mobile events of the year."
LOL, and we all know what happened to the last vendor product to use a "bulldozer" in it's PR hype push, perhaps you should rethink your PR line.

Chris, you Do Know that the TI OMAP 5 A15 MPCore OMAP5432 with its faster 2-channel DDR3 @532 MHz memory interface capable of 8.5 GB/s will probably make its appearance at Mobile World Congress 2012 right. (Tech URL deleted as i cant wait around for you to approve it)

did your keen apple spidey sense dreamy rumour mill also tell you what slower speed ram your fabled third generation iPad SOC device will bless its faithful with this year ?

and OC lest you forget Chris, you should already know that the Samsung home-grown (as you put it) Exynos 5250 and above is also probably now using their new "home-grown" 1Gb wide I/O mobile DRAM chip that can transmit data at 12.8GB/s which increases the bandwidth of mobile DDR DRAM (1.6GB/s) eightfold, while reducing power consumption by approximately 87%

/20110222201121_Samsung_Develops_Mobile_Memory_with_Wide_I_O_Interface_Extreme_Bandwidth )

so Samsung dont just have a better "massive resolution" 2560 x 1600 11.6-inch screen size
than your fabled MWC bulldozed ipad at a potential 9.7 " 2048 x 1536....,
the Samsung "home-grown" Exynos 5250 2.0 GHz Dual-core ARM Cortex-A15 MPCore will also probably have 12.8GB/s of super fast wideIO LP ram to play with, and thats always good for shifting advanced mali gfx bits around while gaming on the ARM platform im sure you agree.....but theres also the Exynos 5450 2.0 GHz Quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 MPCore and the TI SOC to contend with too, to name but two vendors OC, both good and large vendors that co-operate with ARM in their own rights.

and before any of the apple spidey sense dreamy rumour mill afflicted among you starts again, and comes to the conclusion that their ipad device will also get the samsung super fast wideIO LP ram soon, consider this: it's not likely given all the Samsungapple legal wrangling going on now.

It's the same thing, with every "upgrade" they create, that it's just yesterday's rebranded product with a minor refresh in hardware.
