APPLE.. listen it’s very simple.. when you create something that blows everyone off, people are bound to get inspired.. instead of focusing your energy listening to some stupid lawyer group milking your money.. just keep innovating and up the ante.. keep raising the bar.. others in the business will eventually get tired of meeting your bar and customers might seem to fade away during the time when they are checking out other products.. but they will return for sure.. because your product will speak for itself.. just look at your self of what you did with iPod.. even though there were a million types of mp3 players your’s prevailed..!!!! COME ON MAN UP!!!!

I bought my wife a Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi only 32Gig. for her birthday. Then they were banned. I got an Ipad II wi-fi only 32 Gig. for my birthday. They do have similarities. However, the Galaxy will out perform the Ipad and has less problems. I would gladly trade my new Ipad for a Galaxy Tab

This is the one time I wish everyone would listen to Steve Jobs(yes I know he’s passed). With his famous “good artists copy, great artists steal” being deemed inadmissible in court, I think Apple has a good shot to sneak by with at least a win on maybe one point and Samsung will get the decision on everything else. The problem is that small win will tell someone up on the Apple board that this is still a winning strategy and that they like Microsoft should continue to try to bully Android into making money for them. Hopefully Samsung, and Google/Motorola can string together enough wins to make their competition compete against their products and not their bank accounts.

you mean steal like… apple? Look around a bit, google “apple uses braun designs” for example.
Apart from that I do not even agree to your point. Apple has historically taken existing concepts, saw what was good in them and developed them further – and never saw a probelm with that – rightly so, if you ask me. Most of the points being brought up should be seen in the same light as apples derivatives of braun’s designs: It is not stealing in my opinion; it is taking what’s there and taking it further. While the first Galaxies looked pretty similar, I agree, Samsung’s newer products have truly grown into mature, independent products. And while they might have taken what was there, they did run with it – they do seem to run faster than apple themselves right now, which is where I see the real motivation behind apple’s crusade. And this, I feel, is quite sad.

I think Apples real beef is how everyone jumps on the bandwagon after Apple makes a certain product segment popular.

Apple did not necessarily invent the segment, just made it relevant.

apple’s recipe was copied to one degree or another. most of the simple ingredients added up to a more refined, Apple-like device in addition to Samsung’s consistent branding strategy. Samsung are experts at studying the market leaders and riding its coattail till they steal the market from under them. i have witnessed it on my own products. in some ways I admire their gumption, but at times, I really admire companies like Asus who really does more to innovate and differentiate

The iPhone 5 better be one kick-ass product, because otherwise this will leave a foul taste in even the most die-hard apple fans. The yseem to spend way too much time on litigation and not as much on innovation. Last WWDC was a joke, really, now this bloody crusade. I mean… really??! Especially Apple, a company that has taken pride in taking existing concepts and taking them one step further – where is the difference from Samsung again?

Apple is doing a good thing by not allowing people to steal the ideas without permission. If everyone starts to steal ideas of others then there would exist no incentive to create products.

with apples record profits last year I am sure there hurting bad, I for 1 will boycott all apple products until they get off the law suit for more profit band waggon
