Just got Apple TV. It works great mirroring my iPad 2, but the absence of Hulu leaves a bad taste in my mouth. At this point I would not recommend Apple TV until Apple changes their Tune..pun intended.

I can watch Hulu+ from my Blu-ray player already and have a Roku on order to try it out. Plus I have 2 Apple TV 2′s. If I could get Hulu+ on Apple TV, I would not be wasting my time anywhere else since I much prefer the Apple TV interface. I would be buying 2 more units as well, plus I would be recommending Apple TV to my friends and family.
Right now I have been recommending Roku or Samsung Blu-ray’s for those who want Netflix and Hulu+.

For the love of god just release it. If you do I can toss these 3 rokus with their faulty remotes and crappy wifi in the garbage. I have one apple tv already and would buy one for friends for Xmas as well. How’s the sale of over 10 for Xmas sound from one customer? Bite the bullet

This story makes zero sense. If you own an iPad and an Apple TV, you can stream from former to latter ABC, NBC, and other content for free. Worse, if you did want to purchase from iTunes, Season Passes are WAY OVER PRICED compared to cable.

Apple can compete by offering seasons of shows to see&own commercial free for $15/$20 a pop. There’s one market that would buy all their shows that way and never need Hulu. There’s also a market that might buy just a few shows and Hulu the rest.

Win/win for everybody.

There’s also a third option that iTunes becomes ‘Hulu’ like with it’s TV content. I think that’s what they were trying to do but couldn’t get enough studios on board.

Since I’m ALREADY watching TV shows on Hulu+ on my Samsung TV and on my iPad, Apple is not losing anything from me because I only buy shows I want to keep or if I somehow missed a show from CBS because they insist on shifting programming to accommodate sports broadcasts.

By having Hulu they basically cut the sales of TV shows from iTunes, which goes against Apple’s way of doing business. They want to get EVERYBODY that uses Apple to only use services provided by Apple.

Because Hulu shows current tv episodes usually the day after they air while netflix is a season or so behind. And Hulu’s tv library is bigger than netflix when it comes to shows that were or are still on tv over the the past couple of years.
