Applle has 10 SKU. A fair comparison is to compare all makes of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, black and white. After all, HTC don’t have all these variants of similar models rather they make different models with different specs.
So Android kicks iOS fair and square

Android trounces IOS. The ONE phone is a problem for Apple–no selection. We want something that does flash, OTA updates, integrated voice recognition, GPS, notification panel, etc., etc. which only Android has. And Android handset purchases are split among top-notch competitors. Who is Steve Jobs to say you can’t view flash, which is required to see 80% of what moves on the Internet? That said, The Samsung Galaxy S II (Verizon Fascinate 2) may shake things up a bit on Aug 12 as the universally-accepted best handset ever tested.

In what way did Apple create the “smartphone market”? Plenty were around before, although no where near as nice.

Also to note, even though Apple is selling “one” phone, these numbers are for iOS market share, which includes Gen 1/2/3 along with iPad 1/2.

Apple has 28% market share with a single phone that has been updated 4 times over 5 years. Android has 39% in 2 years, although with many more phones. Apple is not winning this battle right now.

Hey Caveman…It took ALL manufactuers to get 39% for Android and Apple, with ONE phone to get 28%….did you call that one a half year ago too. Apple haters…Its ironic since apple createt the smart phone segment six years ago and with ONE phone they still dominate.
