I've been using Windows since the early 90's and I always switch to the classic interface with every upgrade. That being said I have no need for shiny icons and all the fancy things on a Mac when I'm at work. The "find" function never finds what I'm looking for even if the document is sitting right on the desktop.

Why am I forced to use Iphoto when I want to grab my pictures off my camera? On Windows I can select
img/mov directly from the card reader/camera.

Sometimes when I start a simple project and haven't created a folder for it yet, I'll hit save, but the Mac
won't let me create/delete/move a folder inside the save dialog. I have to stop, go outside the program
and create it and then go back into it to save what I was working on.

I love using every bit of power my computer has to offer and Windows allows me to slim down the
amount of processes running in the background that can slow rendering. Why is it when I compare the
amount of processes running on a Mac the list goes on forever?

I ran a clean install of Win 7 & AE vs a clean install of OSX Leopard & AE, both machines
similarly spec'd and the PC was so much faster in the real world tasks I performed on it.

While I love Itunes and all my music sits on an Ipod... dammit I bought the freakin' music so
let me play it without having to authorize it on another Mac.

Give me back a physical eject button on the CD/DVD drive on a MAC. I can't count the times that the
eject button on the keyboard or dragging the disk to the trash failed.

Why do I have to go to the Genius Bar to change the battery on my Iphone. My gf just got an EVO
from Sprint and I gotta say that Android is awesome!

I have an Ipad but I'm thinking of selling it or giving it to my little sister because a Chromium OS
netbook makes more sense for me. Maybe I just wasn't able to give up the keyboard just yet. To be
fair I picked up the Ipad on a whim, but I haven't made much use of it since that day.

I'm hoping there's something unexpected in this. Everyone's expecting the MBP and MBA refreshes. The lion references probably are about the next osx. But 'Back to the Mac'? That implies a return to something that existed before . . . osx hasn't gone away; and though supplies are thinning, MBA's can still be obtained.

The mac was originally released as a consumer home desktop . . . are my dreams of a consumer class desktop with a little bit of expansion room coming to fruition? Something bigger than a mini (one pci-e slot is all I ask!) and not as beastly as the mac pros? I have much hope. I have much appreciation for my minis, but the return of a true mac desktop that's closer to the $1000 mark would really make my holiday season.

Get over it! As a MAC and a Windows 7 user, I keep trying to justify using the MAC.
That's great Thomas thanks for sharing. What you are explaining is the beauty of the free market and consumer choice. If Apple's devices don't appeal to you, you have a lot of others to choose from.

Evo is a great phone also. Consumer choice is what makes this market great.

Thanks again for sharing.

Cool. Another new Mac OS that I can't use any of my favorite programs on!

Could it be... (-gulp-) that Mr. Jobs will allow us the pleasure of native Blu-Ray support?

I know I've been a bad little boy by watching all my Blu-Rays on my Windows HTPC... sorry Mr. Jobs. I'll throw that away and rush to get Apple TV ASAP! I bow to you Lord Jobs and the Apple God.

Had to post.
I recently gave up my iPhone for the HTC Evo. I was sick & tired of all the restrictions & the fact they were in bed with AT&T. Restrictions like not being able to un-install a upgrade that makes my phone slower. Hackers & jailbreakers had to devise a way to do that. Best move I ever made was to dump my apple phone. It's a real shame cuz apple used to be the only OS I supported but looks to me like all this market share is going to their heads.

James, dude relax. Lets get something straight. Apple doesn't strive to have the most OS's sold just for the sake of it...they strive to have the best OS experience and if the numbers say they are #1 then thats that.
As for the Windows phone, Microsoft doesn't make a phone, they make the OS. You can hold it upside down for all anyone cares...especially as you throw it away in a year.

Yeah because Windows 7 isn't currently selling like hotcakes and because someone in Cupertino just stand all the Windows Phone 7 news popping up left and right.

As a Mac user, I'll be buying Windows Phone 7 now that the Mac support has been announced for Zune. I will be holding the phone whatever ways I like -- from left grip to right grip and there'll be no need for a single jacket to make it work.
