Exactly. All this talk about players coming too late to the game is moot. One good product and a bunch of zealots to do the marketing for you and you´re in.

How would that be interesting when there´s really only one other option in the iOS eco system (the iPhone4), while there are a bunch of alternatives to the Galaxy. Furthermore, the GS2 is 8 months old, while the iphone4s is like 3. Naturally the Galaxy would sell alot more if it was the only high end Android phone out there. Then it would be an interesting comparison. Though I guess Appleites have to find some way to make the numbers work in their favor….

This whole argument about market share means squat. In 2006, Apple had 0 market share… All it takes is a nice prodoct, good marketing, and use by numbers. Market share talks about current or past use and may not mean squat about future use. Who needs the justification of market share to be happy with their phone or anything else??

Obviously the 4s would smash the GS2. 90 percent of iPhone sales in Q4 were 4s’s.

Company to company sales doesn’t say much. Samsung has way more smartphones out there than Apple does. An interesting article would be iPhone 4S sales to Galaxy S2.

Strategy Analytics is on the high end of Samsung sales estimates. Other research firms will have lower Q4 numbers for Samsung. IDG, Gartner et al may come in at 31m to 33m.

Samsung has the advantage of allowing itself to mfr embarrassments like the moment, intercept, precident, etc.. how many future iphone owners were created by the awful performance of the transform? Samsung makes some amazing high end stuff, but also the worst of the worst low end junk.
