I think Apple screwed up big time on SIRI’s voice and personality. SIRI is just too serious! If they had used maybe Christopher Walken or one of Billy Crytal’s characters, customers would probably put up with more foibles.

Yes, I do, and I’m sure that you know the ads are showing Siri’s capabilities but are not guaranteeing that performance consistently, they clearly stated, it’s in BETA

Being in Beta shouldn’t be an excuse to “not work as advertised” given
the fact that a lot of people bought iPhone 4S for its heavily hyped
Siri assistant. While there are no lack of complaints privately, most
Apple lovers just won’t admit it and keep it on the hush because of
their unconditional Apple love. It will be interesting to see how the
court rules on this one.

Clearly specified, Siri is in BETA, from the moment it was lunched. Go ahead and sue Windows 8 Consumer preview for not working perfectly; it’s a PREVIEW, and Siri is in BETA….switch the need of publicity for the need of comprehension

If it doesnt work as advertise, then the guy has a gripe. Did they buy it full retail? or did they pay an ETF to get it? Is the person a disabled and NEEDs these features?

Remember Apple got bitch slapped by the UK for false advertising for saying “Whole internet in the palm of your hand”, when clearly it they blocked Java (only java script) and Flash technologies.

Please no voice recognition software out there works as advertised. This is just a random guy looking for fame. Siri never claimed accuracy let alone speed but the ability to understand regular language. This is where Siri is different from anything else out there. Yes it fails half the time like any other voice recognition software but it is fully capable of understanding the same command when asked in a variety of ways.

I have found it no more reliable than voice commands on my iPhone 4. And also no better than Google Voice Commands….in terms of its ability to correctly interpret speech.

It is *nowhere* near as capable as Apple advertises. If it could understand, then fine…but after getting stuff wrong 10 times in a row, it becomes quicker just to type in the search myself.

Siri was introduced primarily as a marketing gimmick for the iphone 4s. With out that gimmick the 4s would have been nothing but a catch up device and a embarassing admission on Apples part that they no longer have what it takes to lead in smart phones. If they allowed siri on other devices then ifans would have had very little reason to upgrade. As it turns out, they actually had little reason to upgrade anyway and to Apples embarassment siri sucks. Amusing to say the least.

plus siri doesnt work worth a damn, my friends and i just laugh when we use it -works about 1 time out of 10 and then gives bad or irrelevant info.
