Apple Strength ad focuses on fitness future

Apple has aired a new health and fitness-centric television advertisement called "Strength". In the ad, we get a look at the iPhone used in conjunction with a variety of wearable devices during exercise, sports, and general health monitoring, hinting at the company's health ambitions.

The advertisement, featured below and aired during the Stanley Cup Finals, shows the iPhone in use with different bits of fitness and health wearables, each offering up things ranging from raw data to posture and swing analysis using life-like renders.

The devices are from a variety of companies — an astute eye will spot the Misfit Shine during the swimming portion, which leads to such things as the miCoach Smart Ball from Adidas, a bike sensor, swing analyzer, and more. The Stronglifts app among others is shown on the iPhone's screen.

This follows the company's unveiling of the HealthKit platform at WWDC 2014. If you haven't already, check out our run down of how it works, then check out the timeline below for other recent Apple news.
