Apple seems to have begun readying the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco by decking out the side of the building with large banners set in the vein of a similar design to the press event announcement and invitations sent out a week ago.

Flickr and MacRumor readers have sent in photos of the currently in-progress preparations for the ever-bubbling event.

Apple’s media event will take place on January 27th at 10 AM PST, where Apple is expected to unveil its latest “creation”, rumored to be a new tablet device of some sort (if you haven’t been following the news for the last several weeks or so).  Join SlashGear editor Vincent Nguyen this Thursday on the Slashgear Livecast of the Apple event, where you’ll get a live update stream of the event, and a possible look at the so-called iTablet.  Full coverage here on the 27th at http://live.slashgear.com/.
