And quicker on a pc for obvious reasons. This is probably why apple needed to revamp the code. But now how long will it take ifans to start with the “they made it faster first” b.s., lol. But they probably wouldn’t dare because it would be met with a lot of criticism since many other things were faster on pc’s first and so on. And it’s not like it’s a huge deal anyway because it’s just for javascript and will only enhance a handful of applications. Don’t get me wrong. It’s very cool to make the java engine more efficient, but it is what it is. It’s not like loading html pages got the boost and things do tend to be limited by bandwidth on most things. youtube will be the same etc etc. I expect firefox and to probably do an update eventually. As for ie7, that’s pretty much ancient. People would be more interested in IE8 and the new browser for Windows 7 which was out before Safari 4. But at the moment, I’m sure ifans will be pleased with what ever javascript runs.
