Amazon or not, there will always be a huge population of people who prefer to touch and see their product before buying.  Always.  You will always find stuff cheaper online because there is no overhead in serving you and keeping the lights on so that you can see the product.  If you’ve ever worked retail, you’d know the difference, but you seem to be ignorant of that fact.  I’ve commented on this before and I will do so again – if you’re buying, anywhere, and buying a LOT of stuff, you will be given the golden experience too.  Apple is not exclusive to that, sorry to break your heart.

I like the Starbucks that have a lot of outlets, the ones with great views and a really long line of people waiting for a table.  Because I have all day, nothing to do, so I sit there and read Facebook once I finally get a table, download movie torrents, ask others with laptops to watch mine when I need to get up.  

When you can spend $5.00 on a large light ice latte and sip it all day, it’s a pretty good deal!

Truth is, this is 100% sarcasm, I don’t have a Facebook account or watch movies.  But you seemed like the kind of person that was into stereotypes, so I thought I’d feed your ego.  You go!

Seriously, though? Sounds like Apple is in the “I don’t want my customers” mood…

Microsoft was built on the idea that a successful business is the only business in town. Well, right now they have three competing OSes all doing better than they are, OEMs that refuse to go all-in with them like their PC counterparts and a market that increasingly sees the Windows PC as a redundant piece of hardware next to tablets, phones that do their tasks easier, faster, and on the go.

Kinect isn’t really a world-changing technology either. If you look at the PS3′s Eye, the Cell processor was able to do face tracking with a single camera, and with PS Move they have augmented it with the controller. What Microsoft did: Take the 3DTV paradigm and incorporate it into a webcam. The dual-sampling nature reduced the need for the CPU to do expensive calculations and allowed for easier API development. What people are doing with the device is cool, yes, but people did it prior with dual webcams and other solutions. 

You may want to at least get familiar with other operating systems, like Linux or Mac OSX. Ignorance only hurts you and if Microsoft is headed where I think they’re headed, Windows won’t be much more than a legacy option sooner than you think. 

If Apple Stores end up being the last man standing its going to be due to the Cell phone craze we’re in… RadioShack isn’t even a shadow of its former self because HALF their stores is disgusting cell phone crap and the other have is stuff I don’t want or need. Best Buy seems to be Buying into it as well, putting their Buy-A-Contract-Phone section right in your face as you walk in on most stores.

But despite the degrading retail experience we’ve come to expect, Apple won’t be the “last man standing”. More competition will come in and Apple will slowly fade (can’t have ‘fade’ without having ‘fad’ first). I’m not saying Apple will go away, they’ll end up like Starbucks: a hangout for the niche (increasingly Macbook Pro carrying) crowd who either want to show off or socialize while the majority of us continue getting (arguably inferior) coffee from Dunkin Donuts instead, if only to get in, get out and get on with our lives. 

Seriously, the Apple-dom is beyond cult at this point: Its a religion. Here we have this article predicting the end of electronic retail as we know it while the Apple faithful remain steadfast. See why I’m not convinced?

How about some facts in context so we can help you understand why you were escorted out?  I’ve spent hours on many occasions at Apple stores with my laptop like a different kind of coffee house and have *never* been asked to leave or even to move to a new location.
