You are an idiot, a much bigger one.
Don't call names a person you don't know....
Resolution independence is something not implemented completely in tablets or operating systems.
Even if a game or 3d content can be made with same polygons at much higher resolution, it still needs great amount of power to move all those pixels on the display.
Apple A6 is not out, maybe next year, so with same CPU, a much higher display will slow things down, so it will look better but lag worse than Android with 1280x800.....

Idiot, its called resolution independence or s/m like that. Just like on the Retina display, the only thing those new pixels do is make the picture sharper. It isn't like on desktops, where higher pixel count means smaller icons. The icons take up the same area, so they look a lot better. On the iPhone 4, SD graphics look just fine (except they aren't Retina sharp).

It's not going to happen. Can't anybody understand, 2048x1536 does not translate into need of twice the processing power, even on desktops a GTX 560 or ATI 6870 struggles with 3d content.
Try playing FEAR 3 on 2048x1536 with these cards, at max, you'll understand what am I talking.

More like 1600x1200, if A6 gets out, but this year, it won't.
Power VR has no better chip than 543MP2, yet, but this GPU can't decode 1080p content, only 720p. Sure it scales up on a fullHD TV, but is unable to play real 1080p decoding.

And don't tell me there won't be games on next Ipad, then try to see how a 3D game would look like on 2048x1536, when it's written only for 1024x768 or 1280.

Tablets are not ready for this resolution, for now, imagine how small the icons would look, because if you would make them bigger, you'll need 2 GB RAM or more to move that amount of data, icons and characters have only bits of info, for a more complex icon, you'll need to allocate more RAM and power to refresh screen or scroll.
Imagine reading a website.....
