It’s disgraceful of Apple to reject Tapose. I’m a beta tester and Tapose is by far the best application I’ve seen. There are other apps available that use a split screen and they got approved. I believe Apple is out to steal the idea.

Not quite like that. The project was canceled, and later the skunkworks team which does other projects as well was gotten rid of. Apple is a horrible example, they are notorious for not allowing apps in that should be. Look at the demos, if you’re creative you’ll understand the benefit.

My mom and dad are completely in love with the multitasking gestures, it’s really funny. I flipped the little switch, and for like an entire hour afterward all they did was open a bunch of apps, flip through em all and go to the home screen lol

So, Apple will be bringing some sort of a split screen view into the next major iOS and they don’t want someone to steal their thunder? With the new retina screen this might be very nice, and as app switching sort of sucks in iOS at the moment (who the heck came up with those insane multistasking gestures?) this would be welcome development all around.

Split-screen is actually a no-brainer in the sense that it is sorely missing from the ipad and at the same time the same apps are already being developed for the small iphone screen and the large ipad screen, and these two layout versions should play nice together.

Port and release it for Android? No Apple red tape to deal with, and the wider aspect ratio might help with an app like this.
