Apple patent shows future Nike+ shoes

Another Apple patent has been uncovered that discloses some interesting information about a potential future product. It involves taking the Nike+ system to the next level with some high-tech running shoes.

This 20-page filing shows a more sophisticated device that has many feedback abilities. For instance, it would utilize GPS sensors and a processor to keep track of a runner's performance as they are running. This way, you could get feedback customized to your workout that takes into consideration your weight, age and gender.

Included would also be an indicator that let's you know when the shoes need to be replaced or are worn down to the point where they could cause injury. And even though it is unclear as to whether or not such a device would ever be manufactured, it is important to note the health benefits that could be derived from an evolved Nike+ shoe.
