Mountain Lion Sucks. I put it on my machine and it went from great to crap. It's been stuck on Crap ever since. Most programs lock up at random. I never know what will work and what won't. I send in reports to MAC daily on problems. The whole machine locks up now too. It's like I went back to windows 95. In fact it locked up while I was doing this form..... perfect!

Hmm, Myexperience with the wonderful world of Apple is extremely poor - My late 2010 iMac, since installing Mountain Lion now takes an age to connect to my NAS - useless, in fact. MUY - I would steer well clear of Apple - the OS is over-hyped with lots of shiney stuff. Basic functionality such as connecting to network drives is hopeless. An Apple user is expected to be able to use arcane commands at Terminal level - hardly the most advanced OS in the world!. My iMacs drive died after 18 months costing me a further £300 - disgraceful. Apple couldn't care less.

Just for reference, if you're going to blur your email address out, you should do a better job. Its obvious its an @slashgear.com email address, and theres only one character between whats blanked out and the @ sign. The one character has a tail pointing to the right, meaning its probably just your last initial, G. So .. vincentg@slashgear.com eh?

Is there a tile to turn off those tiles off? I for example, don't have the need to login to the email programs all the time (privacy issues?) Calender? same issue, people tile? same issue, so on and so forth. weather tile? you can't type the letters "weather" to the google bar and get more detail results about the weather like radar map, chances of rain, snow etc.? News? Sports? do they have detail reports as ESPN? Articles? No. All the information quickly but not a lot of important detail. Are we getting that lazy? We can't open up a web browser and do it? Look at it this way: you're trading "all the personal information at a quick glance" for the productivity of say, the way windows used to work. You're no longer can switch quickly between windows anymore. From the start, windows 8 was designed for a touchscreen interface. So it's not going to work like wonder for the desktop/ laptop without a touch screen. I don't like MAC simply because of the way they forced you to do, but windows 8 is not a good alternative either. It's just that the metro UI is really ugly (IMHO) and unintuitive to use. Remember sidebars introduced in windows vista? that can give you quick look at weather, calender, images etc. But it eat up resources and battery if you're on a laptop. Go around and read articles around the web, most don't include the words "beautiful," and/or "productivity" with "windows 8" together. May be this: windows 8's metro tiles beautifully destroying a user's productivity. The metro UI is definitely not designed for me.
