They spread rumors about certain politicians or about czar, saying:

It’s a common practice in manufacturing industry to take apart the competitor’s products. GM does it every year with Toyota cars. Intel does it with Samsung chips. And then they study how they could make better products.

Your friend must be really really on the top executive level at Samsung in order to be told that way. Otherwise the actual engineers each only design small parts.

And your words must be especially true, because you have the Korean sounding name.

And I bet the apple lawyers must be using your comment to back up their allegation. Right?

Actually it’s the other way around.
Iphone 4 looks just like lg prada-phone which came out years ago. I don’t know why LG isn’t suing apple for the blatant design copy?

Or it could be that lsu did not designd the phone, but prada did.
So maybe lg but not have any rights to sue apple.

Has anybody looked at the Gravity and Sidekick?…And the Replenish also has
stock Android. Those 3 phones got added to the lawsuit. They might as
well add the F700 to the lawsuit.

I have now idea what in the world Apple is upset about those 3 phones for. Phones with physical keyboards and one with a physical keyboard and stock Android.

And Apple’s iOS is the same as a windows desktop full of shortcuts to your applications. What’s your point? Interfaces are more or less standard at this point. Patents shouldn’t apply to the look of an interface, only with what happens and how it happens on the backside.

You mean unique that it doesn’t slide from the top?
Wow, yeah that seems to be a copy. What about the whole OS concept that Google got from Apple to begin with? What about the whole “flick with your finger thing”?
BTW, are you aware that almost all notification systems are implemented on top for obvious reasons (exception being Microsoft Windows)? Even in games, when you unlocked an achievement, the message is displayed on top so it stands out.
Seeing that Apple uses right and left to scroll though pages, the only options are the top and bottom. The bottom has the dock, … I guess you get it by yourself.

Now back to topic.
Look at the Nexus, or Droid. Do they look like an iPhone?
Look at the Android OS, WM7, do they look like iOS?
Now take a close look at Samsung and you will understand why Apple is pissed.

I understand that there are only a few designs you can do until it starts to look like an other device, but don’t be pissed at Apple, write a letter to your congressman instead to change the stupid patent laws. Apple is protecting what they paid for, like any other company would do.
The fact that it’s Apple seems to make some people in this forum switch their brains off and rant.

I want to know what is so all fired unique about the way Apple throws icons on a grid on a display. There’s a 4×5 grid of icons, so what, that’s how many readable icons can fit! There are 20 application icons on a screen, I’ve got more than that on my PC … so … freakin’ … what! Where is the uniqueness? What is reasonably patentable about that?

Really???? Touch wiz is a direct copy of Apple’s UI. Samsung’s icons even resemble Apple’s. Maybe you guys don’t remember cell phones before the original iPhone, the most innovation outthere was a Motorola razor and a BlackBerry( whose design hasn’t changed and is antiquated). Three original iPhone was criticized for being too large because of the3.5 inch display. now everyone has as the standard. You guys are seriously misinformed and bitter little girls

first, i got this source from my friend who is ACTUALLY currently working in Samsung, unless this person is telling a lie

second, of course, they are not going to resemble Apple’s products but the design and the process of making an iPhone and all the other phones are more or less the same

third, you just made my point clearer saying how tvs and computers look alike because that is how business is run, whoever designs FIRST takes credit and all the other companies and whatever, will try and run them out by making a better version of the SAME DESIGN.

Dear Apple,

What did you expect when you created a product that “changes everything”? If you’re going to sue Samsung, then you need to sue every other manufacturer that makes smartphones and tablets, and while you’re at it, netbooks, notebooks and laptops. You want to set the standard, but then you complain when everyone meets that standard and surpasses it.

Last I heard, neither Google or Samsung were made from scrapped iphone parts…
If you actually look at any of those devices listed, they don’t resemble any of apple’s products. They look like phones. Most phones will look alike. Just like TVs and Computers look alike.

Apple knows, Iphones and Ipads wont last long. So instead they try to make money elsewhere because all the judges in America are Apple lovers and everything in their homes are from Apple custom made. Apple i smaking money from courts… Ask apple to take a compamy to court in European courts then we see how u win. Get a life and let others enjoy their lives.

Samsung makes phones and tablet for everyone both rich and poor and employs more people than apple. SO judges pls slam Apple with a big kick and close it down.

okay so apple is naming the f700 which came out before the iphone. Good job. I will admit Samsungs products are a bit blatant but a lot of those don’t make any sense. How is the Nexus S infringing, it doesn’t run touchwiz or have a similar form factor to the iphone.
