He is the type of device user who needs a “walled garden.”  Yes, he doesn’t like the fact he can’t load the world on it, but my son and I aren’t subjected to grousing and “fix my computer, please, now” prods.

Me?  I’m looking forward to an iPad 3.  Our daughter in college has the iPad2 with the dual cameras, and it would be nice to talk with her via Skype.  A faster processor would be a nice addition, too.

How long does it take to assemble an iPad?  60 minutes?  If someone in China gets $1 an hour and someone here gets $30/hour, where do we get the $1,500 figure?  Is it because we’d also have to make the parts here and those costs would be multiplied by the same factor?  I thought most of the parts are manufactured in dark factories with robots and minimal oversight.

There is such a huge profit margin on their devices, it will just make that margin smaller
