NO, apple did NOT pay Xerox to license the IP–they paid for a DEMO and nothing more.

Companies today should be able to build their companies as apple & ms did, without the constant threat of bullying via vague software patents that are obvious once you start down a certain path of development.

Apple & MS have both become major patent trolls and/or use patent trolls to extort money and stifle innovation–people really need to wake up and start holding companies accountable by not buying their products till they behave more appropriately (like not spamming patent offices with BS patents), we need to expect better behavior from our companies.

Even people who started with a live and let live attitude are beginning to dislike Apple as a company. I hope Tim Cook wakes up to this and cuts the legal crap back this year.
