We hear about certain brands in the news all the time. It’s just the way our society works. But now Boston.com has come up with a list of the 10 Most Overrated Brands and guess where our beloved Apple lies?

If you guessed “Number 9″ you’d be correct. In fact, the hype it seems is what keeps people infatuated with Apple as a brand and coming back for more. And while their products are stylish and function great, it’s the marketing and super hyped up press announcements that get consumers really excited.

And when you think about it, this is very true. We’ve been posting pictures of rumored leaked images of products all the way up until the hour before a product is set to be announced. Obsess much? The answer is of course we do! But I can’t help but think there’s some substance behind the Apple hype everyone keeps talking about.
