Apple iPod Touch Features Retina Display and A4 Processor

And sure enough, the iPod Touch just got the refresh it so aptly deserved. And while all of the other iPods may have gotten their own improvements, it's the iPod Touch that's getting the best new features. Now that the iPhone 4 is out, there was plenty of speculation regarding the iPod Touch: would it get the same features? Yes, yes it will. And, now it's official.

The new iPod Touch features the same Retina Display, it has the same wake/sleep function, and there's even a 3-axis gyroscope inside. Oh, and the same A4 processor is tucked away inside the hood, too. It will feature FaceTime, because it has a front-facing camera. And yes, there's a rear camera that supports full HD video recording. The iPod Touch will cost $229 for 8GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB.

Still more to come.
