This problem was so irritating, I got so fed up with it. I spent quite a bit of time researching, for a solution, with no luck. All of the methods I found didn't work for me. I did a bunch of research came across WIRED magazine and found a extensive and detailed review of Pong Research cases. These guys make a very special case which has a built-in antenna in between its layers, which redirects and boost the signal and range of your new iPad, iPhone and other devices. As a result, I'm able to connect to my router from much further without a problem. And that's not all, one of the features I like the most is their Origami Cover which folds in 5 different positions while still maintaining the sleep/wake function.

IPad is a piece of junk. Cannot connect to any wifi’s outside of home What a piss off and it cost almost $1000.00 Last Apple product for me. I had previously bought an Apple shuffle and when my previous computer died the shuffle would not load music from my new computer so it was useless for adding new tunes. Apple is OVERRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, mine drops out and won’t connect, even though it says I’m connected in the settings.

No problems here. I have to ask though… WEP? Seriously? I have senior citizen relatives that know better, makes me suspect pebcak.

First: Yes. It’s “affected,” not “effected” — for the love of God, please change it! :-)

Second: I’m watching Netflix over WiFi on mine, haven’t had any problems with the iPad this weekend (crosses fingers) though my Apple router does crap out about once every three weeks but comes right back after reboot.

Affected!!!!

iPad forgets WEP code and won’t reconnect to previously known network. A little better now that I reset network connections, but still problematic….. If this continues I will probably return this weekend
